Reading the Market Pulse Through Market Internals

Pristine

Presentation Discussion:  Pristine Capital Holdings, the leading educator for self-directed traders, teaches how to trade “people” through technical analysis, supply and demand imbalances through price and volume, trend and pivot analysis, public sentiment, and market internals.  Pilots use flight instruments to measure the operational stability of the airplane’s systems.  Pristine chartists use various market internals to determine the bullishness or bearishness of traders and investors.  We review the raw numbers, trend, support/resistance, and divergences to give us “green light,” “red light,” or “yellow light” signals.  Pristine will review how it uses the TICK, TRIN, VIX and Put-Call Ratio for day and swing trading long and short, and “fading the crowd.”  Market internals also indicate signs of major market turns by detecting excessive glee or gloom & doom.  Dan will review how these internals, in addition to the Futures, Advance Decline Line, and New Highs/New Lows, provided uncanny buy signals for core traders on Friday, September 21st, 2001.

Dan Gibby is the lead moderator of Pristine's Advanced Stock and Derivatives Trading Room, focusing on Stocks and Options. He re-joined Pristine's educational support team in Summer 2001 as West Coast Manager and has been a student of Pristine.com for over three years where he was personally mentored by Oliver Velez and Greg Capra. During that period, Dan has been instructing at many events and on-line chat rooms, educating students on the art of active self-directed trading, while actively trading equities and derivatives himself.  Having traded in his lucrative law practice in Florida to trade the financial markets, he's an unusual mixture of clever academic and skillful trader. Dan has over 10,000 trades to his credit and relies primarily on Japanese candlestick chart patterns to assess classical technical analysis, market internals, and contrarian psychological indicators (extreme public optimism or relentless gloom) in making his trading decisions.

Dan is constantly studying the financial markets, and has been interviewed by financial media including Bloomberg.uk, CNBC Europe, The Money Channel, and ON24. Dan started college at age 15, has a record of high academic achievement, and has strong communication skills. As a CPA (non-practicing) and attorney (member of The Florida Bar), he is uniquely qualified to interpret and trade on company specific news.  Dan is also a Pristine Certified Trainer, and presents internationally Pristine stock and option seminars, Boot Camps, and Private Mentorships.
